For each night a room is reserved at a participating property, that property will contribute one dollar to the Kennebunkport One Dollar Project. At the end of the year, three organizations are selected to be recipients of funds raised by the Kennebunkport One Dollar project: the first serving our local or regional community, the second serving our national community, and the third serving our international community.

Participating inns may nominate charities to be considered for the three donations. The One Dollar Project Selection Committee researches all potential recipients and presents a slate of candidates for the final decision. The final selection is made by a vote of all participating properties.
